Last week Hasbro relaunched their Monopoly City Streets game after experiencing a few technical hitches due the the opening rush surpassing even their greatest expectations. Unfortunately I cottoned on to the game a bit too late in its initial launch, however this time round I was on the ball! I have to say, its a very impressive game and a great google maps mashup!
The game itself uses Google Maps for the mapping and overlays street data from http://www.openstreetmap.org/ for allowing (I assume) street interactivity. If you havn’t heard of the OpenStreetMap project before check it out! They use a nice flash menu and all of the chance card animations overlay the map, its a really nice clean design I have to say.
